Position Title: Front Office Supervisor
Reports to: Front Office Manager / Duty Manager

Position Description

The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for supervising the front office team to ensure smooth and efficient operations, excellent guest service, and high satisfaction. You will respond to guest inquiries professionally and courteously while ensuring that hotel charges, invoices, and billing are processed accurately and correctly.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous attitude.
  • Handle telephone and in-person inquiries about reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to increase room sales, occupancy, and revenue.
  • Supervise daily shift operations, ensuring all team members follow standard operating procedures.
  • Train, guide, and support the front desk team to maintain service quality.
  • Build strong working relationships with other departments, especially housekeeping and reservations.
  • Ensure the front office and hotel log books are always updated and actioned.
  • Follow guest check-in and security procedures; report any suspicious activity.
  • Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.
  • Take responsibility in the absence of the Duty Manager or Front Office Manager.
  • Act as a role model, sharing your expertise and inspiring the front office team.

Prerequisites

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Opera / Fidelio / other world-class Property Management Systems.

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in hotel or related field accepted.
  • Computer skills and experience with MS Office programs required.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Front Office Associate or Front Office Cashier in a hotel.

Additional Information

  • Applicants must live in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week, worked over five shifts.
